Mustang Performance

The Mustang comes with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine that produces a great deal of power. That is just the start too of the excitement that awaits under the hood of the 2021 Mustang.

The GT and Mach 1 models use a 5.0-liter V8 engine that is paired with a 10-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. With this engine, the Mustang can run 0-60 in just under four seconds.

The available High-Performance Package too increases the output of the standard 2.3L EcoBoost®. This helps it generate 330 horsepower.

The Mach 1 adds a range of performance features, such as sport tires, adaptive dampers, stiff springs, and an engine oil cooler. With the optional handling package, you’ll get Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tires and a stiffer suspension. The final option is a GT500, which has a supercharged 760-horsepower V8 engine that runs 0-60 in three seconds.

Mustang Technology and Features

The Mustang offers a variety of technology features and performance upgrades. You can get an 8-inch touchscreen for infotainment and available Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, which syncs with your phone to play music or other media through the onboard system. Navigation, premium audio, and app connectivity are available.

Plenty of safety features are included for the Mustang, such as active lane control, a feature that provides steering corrections to keep you centered in your lane on the highway. Automatic high-beam headlights are standard, which turn on automatically in low-light situations. Blind-spot monitors, a feature that alerts you to vehicles in your blind spot when changing lanes or reversing, are also standard. Another desirable safety feature is automatic emergency braking, which applies the brakes automatically when it detects a possible collision.
